Thought for the day

A trip back in time to the original RedOak. I went with Aunt Ebby to get 5 bushels of peaches. She told me stories of their life in RedOak. It was a great day!

Lowell found this baby hummingbird that had fallen out of the nest. It could almost fly, but was stunned. He gave it to me and I put it in my little antique bird cage with the horsehair hummingbird nest Rhonda had given me. I got a toothpick and feed it honey. It was all the energy it needed, and started hovering in the cage. It's tongne is twice as long as it's beak, and smaller than a very small needle.
